U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Timothy McHale, U.S. Forces Afghanistan deputy commander – support, renders a salute during the Joint Sustainment Command-Afghanistan transfer of authority ceremony, July 25, at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. The 4th Expeditionary Sustainment Command assumed responsibility of JSC-A from the 184th Expeditionary Sustainment Command. The 184th ESC is a Mississippi Army National Guard unit headquartered in Laurel, Miss. The unit has been deployed to Afghanistan is support of Operation Enduring Freedom since early October.
