(Apr. 24, 2018) First class petty officers from Naval Submarine Support Center, New London participate in a community service event with Habitat for Humanity Restore, April 24. NSSC Sailors spent the day volunteering at the center stocking and organizing shelves and loading and unloading trucks. Habitat for Humanity Restore is a local non-profit organization providing new and used furniture, appliances, and building materials at discounted prices. The proceeds enable Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut to build homes in partnership with families in need.
