David Hurley, chief of defense force, Australian army Lt. Gen. Ash Power, chief of joint operations and U.S. Ambassador to Australia Jeffrey Bleich during a tour of the ship. Germantown is participating with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit in exercise Talisman Sabre 2011, a bilateral command post and field training exercise designed to maintain a high level of interoperability between U.S. and Australian forces.
