The U.S. military community in Singapore recognized Earth Day throughout the month of April with environmental awareness events and cleanup activities to help promote environmental stewardship overseas. In keeping with the spirit of year’s theme to, End Plastic Pollution, the Singapore Area Coordinator (SAC) and its community members held an Earth Day Open House and an Installation Clean-up, which gathered more than 20 participants in gathering trash and debris throughout the local area. In addition, the SAC Children and Youth Programs department held two events in which youth and teens held a, Party for the Planet and organized an activity where participants made Recycled Robots.
