Coalition Forces unpack their 120-millimeter mortar tube prior to digging in and launching fire missions against known ISIS locations near the Iraqi-Syrian border as part of Operation Roundup, May 12, 2018. The team closely followed the Syrian Democratic Forces’ offensive and provided mortar strikes against ISIS fighters and suspected booby-trapped buildings. The goal of Operation Roundup is to destroy the remaining ISIS forces and liberate the last of their so-called physical caliphate east of the Euphrates River. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt.
