FORWARD OPERATING BASE MUSA QAL'EH, Helmand province, Afghanistan
- Pfc. Brandie Hogan, a Marine with Female Engagement Team 12 and Spavanaw, Okla., native, stands on top of a building that overlooks the Musa Qal’eh area, Aug. 5. Hogan, 21, helps run a literacy class for the female population of Musa Qal’eh. The classes will hopefully create an ease of living and help the local women in day to day tasks. Hogan is a 2009 graduate of Huntington High School in Shreveport, La.
