Río Grande, Puerto Rico, May 17, 2018 - Forest Director, Sharon Wallace, explains to FEMA staff how different federal agencies came together to work and assist in the removal of debris from roads, trails and rivers after the impact of Hurricane María. After the hurricane tore through Puerto Rico, El Yunque, a tropical rainforest, has been partially opened which allows visitors to enjoy access to roads and trails of this important National Park. The hurricane caused significant damage which required closing of the forest temporarily. FEMA in collaboration with the National Park Service began the recovery efforts to help restore it to its natural state . FEMA/Eduardo Martínez
