An observer controler for the 2018 Ordnance Crucible Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team of the Year assessment, provides information about a simulation exercise to Staff. Sgt. James Ahn, an explosive disposal team leader with 49th Ordnance Company from Fort Campbell, Ky., during the assessment June 5, 2018 at Fort A.P. Hill, Va.. EOD teams are assessed on operations and associated tasks require to provide EOD support to unified land operations to eliminate and/or reduce explosive threats. The Ordnance Crucible is designed to test Soldiers' teamwork and critical thinking sills as they apply technical solutions to real world problems improving readiness of the force.
