BANGOR, Wash. (June 7, 2018) Machinist's Mate (Auxiliary) 3rd Class Michael Orlando, from Pittsburg, California, assigned to the Blue Crew of the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Kentucky (SSBN 737), is welcomed home to Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor by his wife following a routine strategic deterrent patrol. Kentucky is one of eight ballistic-missile submarines stationed at the base providing the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the United States.
