(June 7, 2018) Fire Control Technician 3rd Class Matthew Lindsey, from Westville, New Jersey, assigned to the Blue Crew of the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Kentucky (SSBN 737), is welcomed home to Naval Base Kitsap-Bangor by his baby boy following a routine strategic deterrent patrol. Kentucky is one of eight ballistic-missile submarines stationed at the base providing the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the United States.
