First Sgt. Gerald Davis, first sergeant for Headquarters-Headquarters Company, 49th Military Police Brigade, California Army National Guard, is confronted by role-playing victims of a simulated nuclear detonation Aug. 17 during Vibrant Response 12. The victims were asking for food, water and shelter. The large exercise conducted by U.S. Army North included almost 8,000 military and civilian personnel. It was held at Indiana's Muscatatuck Urban Training Complex.
