U.S. Army Warrant Officers Norman Rosentreter, James Ross, and Chris Sherrett, intelligence technicians with the Fort Knox, Ky.-based 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Task Force Duke are pictured at Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan, Aug. 23. Dubbed the "Dot Mafia" because of their friendship and the lone square on their uniforms reflecting their rank of Warrant Officer One, the intelligence technicians are responsible for providing assessments of battlefield threats and how to mitigate them. They are presently serving a one-year deployment with their fellow TF Duke soldiers to help the Afghan government and people build a safer, more stable, and prosperous country.
