OAK HARBOR, Wash. (June 22, 2018) — Cmdr. James Imlah, Patrol Squadron (VP) 47 Commanding Officer, is given the command pennant by Command Master Chief Shon R. Nuanez, command master chief of VP-47, on behalf of the command's chiefs' mess during the VP-47 change of command ceremony on Naval Air Station Whidbey Island (NASWI). VP-47 is a maritime patrol squadron currently stationed at NASWI. The Golden Swordsmen fly the P-8A Poseidon, the Navy's premiere long-range anti-submarine warfare platform.
