TREK NAWA, Helmand province, Afghanistan — Four Marines with 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company, drag construction equipment across the interior of their new patrol base. “Bad Company,” as it is called, belongs to 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment. The unit moved into a new patrol base within the district to promote peace and limit the movement of what is left of the insurgent fighters operating in the area.
