Gallatin, Tenn., native Maj. Corey Collier is responsible for monitoring the operations of all service members within the division’s 25,000 square mile area of operations. Collier is the current operations officer for Task Force Leatherneck, headed by 2nd Marine Division (Forward). He enlisted in the Marine Corps at 18-years-old in 1987 and was promoted to staff sergeant before becoming a commissioned officer in 1996.
