NORFOLK, Va. (July 9, 2018) Machinist’s Mate 2nd Class Christopher McSwain, from Mount Olive, North Carolina, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) engineering department, receives his certificate of appointment to the rank of petty officer second class from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford’s commanding officer. McSwain was promoted following his selection for the Meritorious Advancement Program.
