NORFOLK, Va. (July 9, 2018) Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Joseph Weaver, from Waveland, Indiana, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) medical department, receives his certificate of appointment to the rank of petty officer third class from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford’s commanding officer. Weaver was promoted following his selection for the Meritorious Advancement Program.
