NORFOLK, Va. (July 9, 2018) Aviation Support Equipment Technician 1st Class Shane McCormick, from Milan, Indiana, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) aviation intermediate maintenance department, receives his certificate of appointment to the rank of petty officer first class from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford’s commanding officer. McCormick was promoted following his selection for the Meritorious Advancement Program.
