Lt. Gen. Charles Hooper, director, Defense Security Cooperation Agency, discusses security cooperation and full spectrum capability regarding defense systems to support bilateral partnerships at the 2018 Senior Strategy Session – Arabian Peninsula / Levant in Arlington, Va, July 11, 2018. Hooper, the senior U.S. Army foreign area officer with almost 16 years of security cooperation, security assistance and military attaché experience, discussed ongoing reforms of the Security Cooperation Enterprise that include a new curriculum to create unique specialties for security personnel to support effective interoperability and fulfilling the United States’ commitment to being the international “partner of choice.” Over the four-day conference, speakers and participants will engage in discussions centering on the complexities and lessons learned from Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM) efforts during ongoing theatre campaigns that have global implications.
