Air Force District Washington Commander Maj. Gen. James A. Jacobson and Rear Adm. Carl A. Lahti Commandant, Naval District Washingtonserve as officiating officers during a pass and review at the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling parade as the base celebrates its 100th Anniversary Jul 3, 2018. Bolling Field was officially dedicated on 1 July, 1918, after the property was purchased by the War Department and turned over to the Aviation Section of the Signal Corps to serve as the primary aviation facility for the capital city.
