CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Sgt. Matthew Shutt with the 28ID chose the breaststroke during the first event in the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge qualification July 9. To pass this event – a 100-meter swim in uniform – soldiers must complete the swim in less than four minutes and immediately thereafter demonstrate the ability to remove their military uniform in deep water without utilizing any type of support.
