CAMP ARIFJAN, Kuwait – Two hundred and sixty-five ARCENT soldiers tried out for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) at Camp Arifjan Kuwait. To qualify for the first event, a 100-meter swim in uniform must be successfully accomplished in less than four minutes. The swim challenge, held on July 9, was just one of the events in earning the GAFB. In the days to follow, Soldiers have to conduct a basic fitness test, ruck march and marksmanship competition in order to qualify for the badge. (U.S. Army photo by Master Sgt. Daniel Palermo)
