U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Michael Furger, noncommissioned officer in charge of source collection management, teaches Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., junior-enlisted military members about U.S. Air Force history during the inaugural Junior Enlisted Professional Development Seminar, July 19, 2018. During the seminar, junior-enlisted members discussed a variety of topics with USSTRATCOM non-commissioned officers, petty officers and senior leaders. Topics included leadership, junior-enlisted roles and responsibilities, mentoring, military traditions and history, educational benefits, and customs and courtesies. USSTRATCOM has global responsibilities assigned through the Unified Command Plan that include strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, space operations, joint electromagnetic spectrum operations, global strike, missile defense, and analysis and targeting.
