(26 July, 2018) Newly designed Large Mobile Air Traffic Control Towers (LMATCT) are staged at the Joint Base Charleston - Weapons Station in preparation for final inspections and electronics testing by Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic engineers and Federal Aviation Administration officials. Members from SSC Atlantic were asked by the FAA to provide the integration and engineering support for upgrading the LMATCTs due to their extensive background in deployable control centers.
