NAVSCIATTS sponsored the two-week mobile training iteration in support of its in-resident Black Sea Initiative. Through U.S. grant funding, the Bulgarian navy received 11-meter and seven-meter rigid-hulled inflatable force protection boats and training in various courses through Naval Special Warfare's international training center.
U.S. Ambassador to Bulgaria Eric Rubin and Read Adm. Mitko Petev, commander of the Bulgarian navy spoke at formal graduation ceremonies, recognizing the 15 graduates and the continued partnership between the U.S. and Bulgaria.
