Battlefield Airmen assigned to the 52nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron provide scenario based medical aide to role players in a designated safe area following a simulated aircraft crash during a combat search and rescue training exercise at a dirt landing strip in Iraq, July 15, 2018. Air Force Central Command's expeditionary rescue squadrons are organized, trained, equipped, and postured to conduct full spectrum personnel recovery to include both conventional and unconventional combat rescue operations within the Central Command theater of operations. Battlefield Airmen assigned throughout the combined joint operational area conduct operations in support of Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve.
