Sergeants 1st Class Shane Barnhart (Ashley, Ohio native) and Brandon Green (Bogalusa, Lousiania native), who are both marksmen/instructors with the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit’s Service Rifle Team, fire their rifles from the standing position during the National Trophy Team Match August 1 at Camp Perry, Ohio. The USAMU Soldiers, Team Craig, not only won the title of 2018 National Trophy Team, but they broke the 12-year-old Civilian Marksmanship Program record of 2958-113x set in 2006 by U.S. Marine Corps Team Arrieta with their score of 2968-141x, which beat out 40 other six-man teams. The annual matches at Port Clinton, Ohio are part of the CMP National Rifle Matches and draw the top riflemen from around the states and are open to servicemembers, veterans and civilians.
