Patrick Murphy commanding officer of Helicopter Mine Countermeasures Squadron Fourteen (HM-14) salutes during the arrival of the official party during the squadron's change of command ceremony in the hangar bay. HM-14 was established May 12, 1978, in Norfolk, Va. Today they operate as an independent and self-contained operational Airborne Mine Countermeasures Squadron consisting of approximately 500 enlisted personnel and 50 officers.
