U.S. Marine Col. Darry W. Grossnickle is briefed by Capt. Ronald Dewy on the equipment used for a forward arming and refueling point (FARP) at Marine Corps Outlying Landing Field Atlantic, N.C., Aug. 15, 2018. A FARP is a temporary station that rapidly refuels and arms aircraft allowing them to expedite the refueling process. Grossnickle is the commanding officer of Marine Air Control Group (MACG) 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW).
