The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime awarded nearly $78.5 million to Ohio small businesses in the first half of this fiscal year ending March 31st. This number includes more than $29.5 million in award dollars to small businesses in the Columbus region. More than 99 percent of businesses in Ohio are small businesses and employ 46 percent of the state’s workforce, according to the state profile released by the Small Business Administration’s Columbus District Office.
