Soldiers with the 836th Engineer Company develop extraction and problem solving skills in College Station, Texas, Oct. 9. The unit participated in the training in preparation for Joint Task Force 71's external evaluation to certify the brigade as a Homeland Response Force. Once certified as a HRF, JTF-71 will be able to partner with civilian organizations in response to natural and man-made chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive incidents.
