Kevin Hines, who survived a jump from San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge during a suicide attempt 18 years ago, poses for pictures with Fort Lee Soldiers. He discussed earlier his subsequent crusade for helping others realize the value of life and how physical and mental wellness are key to overcoming depression and anxiety. He was the featured speaker at a Sept. 12 event in the Lee Theater conducted in conjunction with Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.
