Master Sgt. Daniel Steenstra, project manager for the new air-to-ground range in Lithuania, studies plans as another 201st RED HORSE rotation prepares to go to work. Four teams of Airmen, which included primarily Pennsylvania Air National Guard civil engineer personnel, constructed a military air-to-ground training range at the Brig. Gen. Kazio Veverskis Training Grounds in Kazlu Ruda, Lithuania. They broke ground on the project July 8, 2018, and wrapped up work Sept. 11, 2018. The range is designed to provide Lithuanian and other NATO forces with realistic troop training, similar to what the Pennsylvania National Guard’s Bollen Air-To-Ground Weapons Range provides stateside.
