Naval Base Guam, Guam (Oct. 01, 2018) Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 5 (EODMU-5), participate in a MK 16 MOD 1 closed-circuit rebreather certification at Naval Base Guam. EODMU-5 conducts counter IED operations, renders safe explosive hazards and disarms underwater explosives. EODMU-5 is assigned to Commander, Task Force 75, the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and execution of coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
