Sgt. Michael A. DiRaimondo was awarded the Bronze Star, the Air Medal and the Air Medal with Valor for his actions in Iraq in November 2003 when he treated 13 injured Soldiers during a downed CH-47 Chinook accident near Fallujah, Iraq. He was assigned to the 571st Medical Company (Air Ambulance) as a flight medic during his deployment.
