Marine Corps Gen. John R. Allen, commander of NATO and International Security Assistance Force troops in Afghanistan,tells the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon Forward runners a little bit about the history of the race at ISAF Headquarters, Oct. 30. Twenty people, from multiple services and nations serving with ISAF throughout Kabul, ran the 26.2 miles. This is the 36th year the USMC has conducted the race.
