Air Force Lt. Col. Douglas McCobb and Goranka Henegar pose for photo following the completion of the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon Forward satellite marathon held in Kabul, Afghanistan, Oct. 30. McCobb took first place overall with a finishing time of 3:19:45 and Henegar finished first in the women division with a time of 4:06:04. Twenty participants began the 26.2-mile race at 6:45 a.m. The course, while flat, was at an altitude of 6,000 feet above sea level. McCobb is deployed from Pentagon Legislative Liaison Office in Washington, D.C. while Henegar works for the U.S. Agency for International Development.
