Maintenance Soldiers from Company D, 1st Attack-Reconnaissance Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment of the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, replace the main rotor lower seal on a AH-64D “Apache” helicopter. Delta Co. is responsible for all heavy maintenance that occurs during operations. The 1-149th ARB is conducting aerial gunnery during a training exercise at Fort Hood May 19-31, 2018. The battalion, commanded by Lt. Col. Randall Wright, is based in Houston and is part of the 36th Infantry Division. While most of the Soldiers are from the Texas Army National Guard, the 1-149th includes a company from the Mississippi Army National Guard. The aircrews fired 30mm rounds, 2.75-inch rockets and simulated Hell Fire missiles during the two-week exercise. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
