A Maintenance Soldier from the 1st Attack-Reconnaissance Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment of the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, checks the integrity of key components with a bore scope before the AH-64D “Apache” helicopter conducts aerial gunnery during a training exercise at Fort Hood on May 24, 2018. The battalion is based in Houston, and is part of the 36th Infantry Division. While most of the Soldiers are from the Texas Army National Guard, the 1-149th includes a company from the Mississippi Army National Guard.
