Soldiers assigned to the 1st Attack-Reconnaissance Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment of the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade, took the day off from aerial gunnery operations at Fort Hood, to perform warrior training tasks and battle drills Training May 27, 2018. Soldiers trained on radio operations, casualty evacuation, troop movements, map reading, improvised explosive device detection, first aid, detainee operations and the laws of war training. Battle drills and field training is a vital operation to ensure Soldier readiness. The battalion is based in Houston, and is part of the 36th Infantry Division. While most of the Soldiers are from the Texas Army National Guard, the 1-149th includes a company from the Mississippi Army National Guard. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Staff Sgt.
