An F/A-18C Hornet from the "Sunliners" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 81 prepares to launch during flight operations aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68), Persian Gulf, June 8. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group and embarked Carrier Air Wing 11 are deployed in the U. S. 5th Fleet conducting maritime operations and supporting troops participating in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
