A U.S. Marine looks through a thermal scope during a thermal and night vision optics class at the Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 19, 2018. The class teaches the difference between a night vision optic and thermal optic and the advantages and disadvantages of each. Alpha Company, 7th Communication Battalion conducted the communications exercise to test their capabilities in providing communication services in field environments as well as train in jungle warfare tactics.
