150821-N-ST310-001 -- NEWPORT, R.I. (Aug. 21, 2015) Naval Station Newport held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Navy Gateway Inns & Suites transient lodging facility, Aug. 21, 2015. The design team responsible for bringing the concept to life consisted of the architectural engineering firm of Michael Baker International out of Pittsburg, Pa.; the construction firm of Korte Construction Company out of St. Louis, Mo.; and was overseen by NAVFAC MIDLANT and NGIS teams.
