Staff Sgt. Randy Cottner of St. Louis, indefinitely re-enlisted Nov. 4, effectively making a career out of the Army. An 11-year-veteran, the military police dog handler is deployed here in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His daily responsibilities include training and taking care of his dog, Bodo, who joins him on patrols to help find explosives. A self-described dog lover, Cottner also has two dogs at home.
