As part of the advance party to redeploy from Operation New Dawn, Iraq, a paratrooper with the 2nd Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division is reunited with his loved ones during a redeployment ceremony held at Pope Army Airfield, N.C., Nov. 8. As the last unit in Baghdad, the 2/82 has been responsible for enabling the withdrawal of U.S. Military Forces from Iraq and the transition of U.S. relations with Iraq to the U.S. State Department.
