Staff Sgt. Francisco Gonzalez (right) instructs Combat Logistics Battalion 4 Marines in medical evacuation procedures during immediate action drills here Nov. 14. The Okinawa-based Marines practiced responding to an improvised explosive device strike against their convoy, including setting up security and providing buddy aid and corpsmen aid to the casualties before evacuating them via helicopter. CLB-4 traveled to Marine Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms to participate in Enhanced Mojave Viper, a training exercise that will prepare them for their upcoming deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Gonzalez is a weapons and tactics instructor with Tactical Readiness and Training, CLB-4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
