Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald rushes for a touchdown during the Bulldogs 52-8 victory over Arkansas on November 17, 2018.
Mississippi State wore uniforms honoring the late G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery who served as Major General in the Mississippi Air National Guard and as a U.S. Congressmen.
The uniforms were based on a paint scheme of a Mississippi Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III named "The Spirit of Sonny Montgomery." That aircraft belongs to the 172d Airlift Wing in Jackson, Mississippi. MSU's uniforms featured gray with writing and numbers in a similar font to those on the aircraft.
