U.S. Navy Lt. Sarah Jones prepares to teach a course on entomology surveillance during the capabilities display Nov. 29, 2018 at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Entomology surveillance requires preventive medicine technicians to search equipment and buildings for insects, bacteria and reptiles that pose threats to service members. Sailors with 3rd Medical Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, established a Role II capabilities display to give service members the opportunity to view their full facilities. Preventive medicine technicians displayed and offered courses on their food and water sanitation tests, snake relocation and entomology surveillance capabilities.
