Maj. Gen Michael T. McGuire, the Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard, along with the Guardsmen, families, and friends render salutes and hold their hands over their hearts for the National Anthem during the 2018 Arizona National Guard Muster on December, 2 at the Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, Ariz. The muster, which traces its roots to the original formation of state militias in the 1600s, is held once every four years as a means of connecting Arizona guardsmen with the communities they serve. The event featured a pass and review of the guardsmen, a community exposition, and concert by the 108th Army band and local band Black Horse Arizona. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
