Lt. Brittany Akers, Waterways Management Division Chief for Coast Guard Sector North Carolina, stands with Wilmington District Commander Col. Akers completed the U.S. Coast Guard Waterways Management Industry Training while assigned to the Wilmington District's Navigation Branch from May 1 through Oct. 30. She is the second Coast Guard officer to have worked with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to further enhance both organization's interoperability and to strengthen good relations.
